2011 has treated me and my family pretty well I think. It's always nice to take a moment at the end of the year to recap, so here goes...
January
Try as I might, I cannot find any pictures anywhere from last January. January is always sort of a sleepy month. But, last January 1st Charlie and I "celebrated" 9 years together, so that's something!
February
In February we went to Florida for a little weekend trip before Charlie's time in South Florida was over... |
March
March took us to New Orleans where we danced in the streets and ate amazing creole seafood... |
April
Max turned 30 in April... |
And we built a fire pit and had our very first fire in it as the weather warmed up... |
May
May was Eric's graduation party... |
June
In June we hiked the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu |
July
In July we went to Door County with my family |
And hosted a college reunion in Columbus |
August
August was full of canning the awesome produce in Ohio |
September
In September we celebrated being married for four years by spending the weekend in Hocking Hills |
Watched two of our very best friends get married |
And celebrated Charlie's 28th birthday with polka at Oktoberfest |
October
In October we watched Mindy and Matt get married |
November
In November we celebrated Grandma's birthday |
Went to Buffalo for Thanksgiving |
And took an architecture tour of Buffalo while we were there - this is city hall (there are some amazing buildings downtown!) |
December
December took us to Costa Rica... |
Overall I have to exclaim at how lucky and blessed we are. Life gets hard, and sometimes I feel like it is completely out of control and unmanageable. But really, who can complain when you went on 5 vacations, saw two couples get married, got to explore Columbus, learn about Buffalo, celebrate birthdays with your grandparents, hike, can, dance the polka, and lots more that I have not listed here.
Here's to another year that is sure to be better than the last:)
